New Year starts September 10th

Hey gang-
What a summer we have had! You were all just simply amazing! VBS was awesome, Fusion was great, the Work Week was unforgettable, we had a blast at the Pool Party and Get Real was so challenging! Thanks for making this a summer to remember. We love being with you and getting to know each of you so much better!

Youth Group starts Wednesday, September 10th 6:30-8:30pm

Our first major event will be Friday, September 11-12th. Our roof is in need of replacement. The church will be coming to fix it but there is plenty that we can do too! We will need willing hands to haul away the old roof and bring in the new shingles on Saturday. When we have times, we'll get them out to you. Plan Friday evening and all day on Saturday. If they have more than enough workers- we may work on some projects inside the building too.

Youth Emphasis Weekend- October 10-12th.

Friday, October 10th will be our STORM. Start thinking and praying about who you'd like to invite. We'll get times/details to you soon. We'd like to present the radio puppet show and a drama this night.

On Saturday, October 11th- we'll have a Coffee House with area youth groups. Plan to be around for most of the late morning through evening. We have a team coming from WOL and we want to spend as much time with them as possible. Start thinking about what you'd like to share at the coffee house and who you'd like to invite. We will try to present a drama this night too.

On Sunday, October 12th- the Large Vocal Group is singing special music in church so plan to be there too.

We are still putting together our fall/winter plans. If you have suggestions- let a leader or youth council member know.

Quiet Times are available- give TIM $24.00 Checks payable to Calvary Chapel
This QT will be SPIRAL BOUND with all you need for lesson times as well as the daily commentary and your verse pack. We will order NIV unless you want something else.

Hey Gang!


Hope everyone is feeling better- seems like we like sharing at Youth Group huh???


Sunday is the Day- We're presenting our TI presentations at church. Meet at 5:30 in the Sanctuary. Large Vocal- we will be practicing through the song 1x at 5:00pm.

Everyone needs to be in TI Dress- get in touch with me if you have questions.
Large Vocal gals- remember a blue accessory to go with your white/black.


I need all music, outlines, presentation sheets etc... on Sunday night so that I can get them ready for Saturday.


If you have not paid your $12 registration fee- please do so by Wednesday.


Area Teens Involved
Saturday, February 23rd
We will meet at the teen building at 8am on Saturday to travel to Eastford.


If you're parents are coming, you can tell them that competition starts at 10am. We should be done by 3:30-4:00pm and home by 5:00 at the latest. You must stay through the entire day of competition.


You will need to remain in TI dress the entire day- please review the TI expectations that we mailed home- if you did not receive them, let Elisabeth know and she will get you a copy.

You will need to either bring a bagged lunch or money to buy a lunch ($8 should be sufficent).

Tonight! Come help with the Annual Dinner at church. We'll be setting and cleaning up! We can't wait to see you!

Next Wednesday- October 31st: Come at 5:30 if you are singing for the Christmas Program. Diane will be practicing with you- call if you need rides.

For group time: we'll be helping at the Harvest Party. Come ready to lend a hand and to be a servant to our neighbors next door.

Also- Snow Camp and Superbowl Registrations are due 10/31- $35 each. Give to Tim. Don't forget to get registrations from your friends- whoever brings the most brings to Superbowl gets a free weekend at Snow Camp.

Operation Christmas Child- start saving shoe boxes and collecting goodies to fill them. We'll be collecting boxes on 11/12. You can bring your items anytime. Ask your friends/family if they want to put a box together. Let's try to get at least 100 boxes!!

Teen Leadership Council- be reading Battlecry for My Generation, we'll have a meeting soon and don't forget Overtime on 11/9!

Superbowl is 11/23-24: Be praying for all who will go that their hearts will be open- pray for us as we arrange transportation etc...

Youth Leadership Council meeting- September 30th

STORM- October 13th 4:00- 9:00 pm

The Word of Life Team will be helping us. Start praying for your friends that you would like to invite!

October 17th- November 12th- Operation Christmas Child We'll be organizing and collecting shoe boxes filled with goodies for needy children around the world. Melissa and the Youth Leadership Council will be organizing this. More news to come! This will be a Christian Service Assignment

October 27th- Annual Dinner at Church- We will be helping to organize the dinner and set up/clean up that evening. This will be a Christian Service Assignment. More info to come.

October 31st- Harvest Party with Olympians. We'll be helping the Olympian leaders put on the Harvest party.

November 23-24th- Superbowl. $35 plus gas. Due 10/17 to Tim

December 9th, 6pm Sunday School Christmas Program- many of you indicated interest in singing or putting together puppets. See Elisabeth or Diane for more information. Practices start October 20th.

Snow Camp- February 1-3rd $35 registration due 10/10 to Tim
